Researcher of the Centro de Investigaciones del Mar y Limnología, Universidad de Costa Rica, he holds a Ph.D from the University of Miami. He is a member of the CARICOMP network program of Marine Laboratories. His area of specialty is on coral reefs and biological oceanography.
